New free Temporal Jove season ticket

The Generalitat has announced that it will offer a free service in the forms of transport under its jurisdiction to young people up to 30 years of age until 31 July, 2023.

This measure complements all the public transport savings initiatives implemented by the Generalitat since the beginning of the year to promote sustainable mobility, alleviate the costs of citizens and combat the effects of inflation.

With this initiative the Generalitat aims to bring the younger population closer to public transport to generate sustainable habits and to make progress in the fight against climate change to achieve more decarbonised municipalities.

All users who want to travel for free will have to have this new temporary card, regardless of whether they have another type of personalised pass.

The Generalitat will also finance 50% of free urban transport for those under 30 years old in those city councils that take part in this measure.

Characteristics and terms of use

• It is a single-person ticket called “free Temporal Jove season ticket” valid for travel in the entire TRAM d’Alacant network with no limit on the number of trips, for people up to 30 years of age, until July 31, 2023.
• The”free Temporal Jove season ticket” is loaded on an anonymous cardboard card, but it is personal and non-transferable since it must be associated with an identity document, ID card, NIE or passport.
• Both the “free Temporal Jove season ticket” and the cardboard card are free of charge.

Instruccions:

• Select the pick-up centre or station, the day and time of your in-person appointment.
• To pick up your free Temporal Jove Season Ticket, you must bring your identification document and the receipt of your appointment (printed or digital).
• A person other than the applicant can go to pick it up as long as he/she brings the original document and the receipt of your appointment (printed or digital). In order to collect the free Temporal Jove Season Ticket with a SIP (national health card) number, you must also present your family record book.

Conditions applicable to “free Temporal Jove season ticket”

• To travel in the TRAM d’Alacant network it is necessary to validate it on boarding the train or tram.
• At the request of FGV staff, the holder must show the corresponding identity document, ID card, NIE or passport.
• Fraudulent manipulation or improper use of the free Temporal Jove season ticket, as well as its use by a person other than the cardholder, will be sanctioned in accordance with current regulations.
• In case of loss, theft or malfunction of the season ticket not attributable to the cardholder (breakage, damage, etc.), the cardholder may request a new free Temporal Jove season ticket by reapplying for an appointment on the website.
